When you select a chart in Excel 2007, you get three new menus in the ribbon -- Design, Layout, and Format. What are you trying to do?

    Hi SHG,

I am trying to add an extra series to a stock chart per the instructions at
    at the link http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/StockChartPlus.html
in which the following appears under the heading “Format the New Series”:
“Now select this new series you've added. It is most easily selected using the Chart Objects drop down box on the Chart command bar, which on my machine is docked at the bottom of the Excel window and really ‘drops up’ (see below).”

Yes, I am using Excel 2007 – forgot to mention that little detail.

Both the Layout and Format tabs contain a Current Selection group, which in turn has the dropdown list.
