    Selection of mutliple ranges - global error..?

    hello.

    I want to select two different ranges and then later insert something into the whole selection. however, after setting the ranges, excel tells me that there is an error with the Range for the object "_Global". Any ideas what it wants to tell me and how I can select these ranges?

    I don't know what you're trying to do. If the last three lines of the two paragraphs are supposed to extend the ranges, they don't -- they just select. They should be qualified in any case:

    oops, you got me there
    Originally I was trying to select one cell, then extend it to another one and select all the cells inbetween. This was working before.
    Now, I had to add another section of data to my worksheet and need to select not only one range, but two different ranges of cells in the same column, and then insert the data in all the cells.

    is there any way to accomplish this rather fast and easy?
