Autofill:first row owner_id

I have some existing data that needs to have a column added to it which is an owner id. There are 10,000 records The first row owner_id is going to be pir1102....I need it to fill down in order until it reaches pir11102

Enter the first value and then drag it down 10,000 rows.

Im confused....how will it know to keep the leading text?

It just filled the 1st value (pri1101) into every field.....I need pri1102,pri1103 and so on to fill down until the the 10000th record

Works fine for me in Excel 2003 and 2007.

In that case, enter pri1101 in the first cell, pri1102 in the cell below, select both cells, and drag down the fill handle.
