xl2003 does not know about sortfields.

the constant xlSortOnValues does not exists in xl2003

If you want to use code in both versions then develop in xl2003 not xl2007.

Had the same issue last week. Had my client upgrade to 2007 and now it works perfectly.

forcing an upgrade just for a bit of vba sort syntax seems a bit extreme.
I assume there where other factors in doing the upgrade.

well it was something in the pipeline for while, we wanted all users to have a uniform office for other reasons, inlcuding Outlook.
