    Conditional Formatting a column: Latest Date

    Can someone show me the conditional formatting formula for:

    finding the latest DATE in a column.

    and highlighting that date if it is in the past. (and making it Red for example to highlight it)

    I don't think it's a difficult one , but i can't get my head round it.

    Using 2007 by the way.

    Hi

    Assuming column A you could use a formula like:

    =(A1=MAX($A:$A))*(A1<TODAY())

    and format as required.
