i would need a solution for the following problem: i have a excel file with about 1400 rows. the values in each row: productreference, name. now i need to place for each row (product) a image.
the product reference and the images file name are identical. anybody knows how i can put it togheter or is word the better tool to do such a work task? thank you all.

You can certainly do it in Excel. Where are the images stored and how do you want them put in the sheet - in a comment, alongside the cell or somewhere else?
