Basically, I am looking for a way for a cell to equal another cell but the cell that it looks at is controlled via another cell.
So, for example, cell A1 I type in “E5” and this tells cell B1 to display the contents in cell E5.
Is this possible?

In B1: =indirect(A1)
Entia non sunt multiplicanda sine necessitate
Hi webadam,
Welcome to the forum.
Try this formula in cell B1:
HTH![]()
