Hi...I have a workbook that has about 100 buttons tied to various macros.

One of these macros generates a separate worksheet (a drill-down out of a pivot table) and saves the file in a separate folder under a new name.

In Excel 2007, whenever I run this macro, it resets the macro assignments on ALL of my buttons, shapes, pictures, etc. that have an attached macro. The new assignment now has the name of the file that it saved in front of the macro name, so Excel then looks to the other file for the macro, instead of the original file where the macro is actually located.

There was a hotfix issued by Microsoft in April that supposedly fixed a similar issue for macros assigned to buttons on the quick launch bar, but it does not appear to have fixed the problem for buttons actually located in the spreadsheets themselves.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get around this? The problem does not occur in Excel 2003...runs beautifully and retains the original macro assignments.

Thanks!
