Macro for copying a selection of cells from excel to Outlook

Sorry for this but i am new to this forum. I am trying to write code to copy from excel to outlook and so far it works but will not work if the excel worksheet is protected, is there anyway in being able to do this copy and paste when the worksheet is protected.
