Lookup and Replace

Hi,

I have two sheets. One of them 'Invoice Archive' is basically a database. Lots of rows organised by invoice number with data in adjacent columns.

I have another sheet for editing this data. I produce the data out of the database using VLookup commands.

What I need is amcro that copies the data off this page once edited and overwrites it over the data for the correspopnding invoice number in the database.

Any ideas??

The following code does the job. See the attached to understand how it relates to the spreadsheet. You may need to modify the part where it pastes the copied data so that it pastes as values?

OK thanks, it's doing what I need (although it has to be said most of the code goes waaaay over my head...)

However it presumes that the information on the edit sheet is laid out in the same format as the database sheet. Which unfortunately it isn't!

The edit sheet will produce data laid out so that it looks like a printed invoice (address top left, date and PO top right etc. This data is then in consecutive columns when stored on the database sheet...

Is there a way of rewriting it so that each cell, or group of cells can be copied and pasted individually?
