Get picture file from folder based on filename

I have a file folder of student pictures in jpg form. They have as the filename the student's identification number. I have an Excel listing of the students' names, grade, and identification numbers. I would like to be able to insert the students' pictures into the Excel file by matching the identification number field with the name of the jpg file in the file folder.

Will I have to create a VBA script or a macro in order to accomplish this, or is there a way to create a formula which would match the two items and return the picture to the cell? If I need a script, is there anyone who has done anything like this successfully and could help me?

Save the attached file in the folder containing pictures. fill Col A (from A2) with the ID numbers and run the macro. it will pull the corresponding photos.
