Can I update Excel Spreadsheet using Access?

We have a large Excel spreadsheet. There is data we need to update on this spreadsheet based on what is in certain fields. If I would link to the Excel spreadsheet using MS Access, could I run a query in Access to update data in the excel spreadsheet? Thanks.

Hi

You don't give much to go on, so generically, yes you can. You can use macros in Excel to connect to access, extract the data you require, and paste it back to excel.

There are various examples on this site on how to do this. If you want something more customised, then can you give some more details on what you want to extract, how it is set up, how your database is structured etc.
