    List box help

    Hi,
I am new to this forum, but I guess this is the right plase to ask my question.

I want to make a list box which get populatet based on the value of a cell.

Let's say if cell L31=1, the listbox items are this and that, but if cell L31=5 the listbox items are that and this....and so on...

I tried making a IF sentence in the dataareara for the listbox but I could not get it to work.

I am on MS Excel 2007.
...and I guess you could call me a newbie regarding more advanced features of excel.

Any tips or solutions are appreciated

I am not sure if I understand what you mean, but the listbox left top angle is at cell G33.

It means I tried to make a if sentence in the list box' data range area.
I'm on a norwegian ver of Excel so I don't know the correct name.
But it is where the assign where the listbox should get its data.

    Re: List box help

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook, the workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

If needed supply a before and after sheet in the workbook so the person helping you can see what you are trying to achieve.

Doing this will ensure you get the result you need!

    Re: List box help

I would suggest that you use controls from the Controls ToolBox.

I have changed the controls to use these controls, changed the format of the sheet slightly - added columns between the Header lists so that we can use CurrentRegion to fill the ListBox. See the example LinkedListBox.zip
