Hello All,
I have a huge Access database, it is about 300,000 rows. So what I did is that I imported that data into Excel Pivot Cashe and use this data to generate several reports in different worksheets within the same workbook. Some of the reports with in this data exceed sometimes more than 80000 rows so that is why I am using a Pivot Cashe just to control the number of rows that is generated. So the problem I am having right now is the file size. It is huge and users don't want to deal with this kind of file. So what I want to do is that the user opens the file and selects only one Category from a drop down box and then the code makes a copy of the current workbook and saves as another temp workbook but with the selected category data only. By doing this the size of the file will be smaller and each user will have only the data or the category that he/she is interested only rather than seeing all the data. The challenge here is accessing the pivot cashe and saving the selected category only in the pivot cashe within the temp workbook. I hope I explained well if not please see attached sample file for more details. Thank so much for all your time and thoughts.
