    Save/Save As in Workbook

    Hi-

I'm following an excel vba course through a book.

In order to do something simple such as save or save as a workbook, it uses the following example (for save as):

Please Login or Register to view this content.
    used as

    (1)

However, this does not work for me unless I use a worksheet example:

Could someone please explain why (and why is a worksheet being recognised, but a workbook option generating an error message) as I have tried to use the above code (1) using the workbook name e.g. Book 21. Also, I have done both of these in a module, so it did pick up (2)...

Can you post the full code that you have tried?
    Hope that helps.

    Re: Save/Save As in Workbook

I tried something like this-I get an error message of object required, so I suppose what's needed is to introduce some code before to explain the variable (if that's what booktst is?).

    Save:

    Save As:

Not entirely sure what the process is if you are just coding and saving from the VB editor and not the main Excel sheet, as well as saving as afterwards.
