I have a workbook1 that is linked to another workbook2.

In workbook2 all the updates happen, but you have to open workbook2 before it will update.

Is there code that I can use in workbook1 that will open and update workbook2 without seeing workbook2 open?

I would like to create a button called update in workbook1 to do this update without the user seeing workbook2. I know how to do the button, but I don't know what code to use to open workbook2 in the background then close it.
