Is there a specific row to start?

hi guys i have the code below but i get a message box come up that says
microsoft excel $A$2 with an ok button
it then proceeds to only copy cell c1 to a2 then i get them same thing again but it puts d1 into a3
where as it should be all the data in column c that got to a1 then it should find the next available free cell and input all the data from column d

I don't know what you are doing, Maybe supply a sample workbook showing what's up.

the code i have attached includes getting all the data from 1 sheet
leave unique records then sort , then does the same for column d

i then need d and c to merge and then again remove unique records and sort what is left

It's doable of course, though can't see what you are doing, can you supply a sample workbook? showing what the end results should be?

    Sorry I don't Use xl'07 yet,
I have looked at the workbook....
It would be easier for others if you made the sample just 100 rows deep and explain on the sample what you are trying to achieve, your workbook does not have any details of what your end result should be.
Attach the workbook to your post, if you do not know how to do that, the forum rules explain it.
You need to make it as easy as possible for others to help you....
