Insert new Row and checkbox in that row associated to a cell

    Hi guys,

I'm having trouble programming this macro. Basically, I want to create a macro that will insert a new row and in that row a checkbox in one of the cells in that new row. This checkbox will be associated with that cell it's on top of.

    Can anyone please help?

    Hi Phil.

Did you try recording a macro while you did this? What type of check box do you want on the row? Forms or ActiveX Control?

I'd like the standard checkbox in excel forms, nothing fancy. I recorded the macro to start it off, but then I got stuck when I wanted to insert the checkbox and lock it with that row. So if the row is deleted, so is the checkbox. I think the checkbox needs to be the same size as the cell to get "locked" on the cell. Not sure...

I would just add a column and use the cells of that column to mimic a checkbox. See this earlier post
    Hope that helps.

    Thanks for reply,

The problem is, I want the checkbox's ability to be linked to multiple cells. For example, If I were to check box in cell B1 (because of a cell value in A1) I want cell checbox B5 to be checked as well (because of cell value in B5).

Basically, I have a list with options in column A. This is going to be my options checklist, so I need some options to be linked together. For example, if my coworker checks (in column B) option 700T#### (in column A) option 800T#### will also be checked.

Since we're going to be deleted rows (not columns) I need the links to remain the same.

    Thanks,
