It might be easier if you upload the workbook and say where you want the total to appear and where you want a list added. What exactly do YOU mean by a list.
If you've recorded a macro it's almost certainly bloated with default code instructions that you probably don't need, and will be doing a lot of .Selects and perhaps .Activates slowing the whole thing down.
What version of Excel do you have?
