    Protect/Reprotect Execel 2007 Sheet

    Hi,

Is there any macro which protects my sheet by selecting 'Select locked cells', 'Select unlocked cells', and 'Edit objects' and then reprotect the sheet such that the user should not be able to make any changes. Also, the macro should run by typing a password and clicking a botton on the sheet.

Thanks for your help in advance.

    Regards,
    Ashwath

    Hi Dave,

I am trying to do something like this.

Clicking a button created on my sheet should popup for password and protect my sheet and allow the user to select the unlocked cells.

Again, clicking on the same button should Popup for password and protect my sheet, but not allow the user to select any on the cells.

Thanks for lookiing into this and would appreciate your help.

    Regards,
    Ashwath

If the cells are unlocked, protecting the sheet will still enable a user to edit the unlocked cells

    Hi Dave,

Thanks much for getting back on this.

Yes, the user should be able to edit the unlocked cells with option 1 and not with option 2.

    Regards,
    Ashwath
