Question Record File Creations within a Folder to a Worksheet Whilst Spreadhseet Remains Open

    Hi All,

I would like a macro, that once activated records every file created in a specified folder (variable) every 60 seconds (variable) whilst the spreadsheet is open (i.e. the macro is to be terminated when the spreadsheet is closed).

It would be ideal if the format in excel could be similar to that as shown in the Example.xls attached to this post.

Could it be written such that IF ALL the files of 'Recording 2' (see example) are the same as ALL the current files in the newly created 'Recording 3', the recording is ignored???

I am trying to monitor when files are created in a folder as a result of a running process/solver. I would only like to record the files if the files that were most recently recorded are different. Therefore...
    • If 4 files were recorded at Time t=1, and the same 4 files were found in the folder at t=2 - Ignore the recording.
    • If 1 of the 4 files has changed or there are now 3 or 5 files in the folder - Recording must be made.

Any help would be most grateful.

    Cheers.
