Copy entire row to new sheet based on value in column

I have an inventory worksheet with hundreds of items for various types of systems. I want to search a column "Retro" and if the value is greater than zero, indicating that item is a component of a "Retro" system, I want to copy the entire row to another sheet. It has been a while since I worked with macros and formulas, and I do not have VB experience. Is there a fairly simple way to do this?

    Hi

You could use an autofilter to return items that contain retro, then copy and paste those rows to the other sheet. No need to use macros that way unless it was a part of another action set.....

I've been using an autofilter to get the results I want, but I have several employees who need to use this worksheet and do not have much excel experience. Expecting them to apply the right autofilter each time and copy/paste the results isn't productive (or likely to produce accurate results). I was hoping to create a user-friendly worksheet that they could just access, run a macro and get the necessary results. I used a spreadsheet like this many years ago and can't remember how to build it!

    Hi,

I dont know whether it will suffice your need but still a good one.

Create a pivot table of those information...

As the employees to double click on their name in the pivot table and it will open a new sheet with their data only

I tried a pivot table, but I don't think it is the answer. I have attached my spreadsheet. As you can see, I don't have common values to group, like in a pivot table. If there is a value in Column E, then I want to display all of the rows for which that is true, without having to manually apply the filter all of the time.

    Hi,

This will allow the user to select the value to be filtered, altouhg it's simple enough to remove that function if you dont need it. The data will be copied to another sheet within your workbook, which can easily be changed if you need, but I will show you how to create a new workbook/worksheet if you want?

Hope it is what you are looking for.
