Automatically removing text with "save as"

    Hi there!

Can anyone tell me if this can be done (I guess with a macro...)

I am the administrator of a template file, and information must be displayed on it. However, this information must be DELETED whenever someone makes a copy of the document (it is read-only). I checked with hidden text, but it doesn't seem to do the trick...

It is a file number which must display on the template, must also print, but must disappear whenever a copy is saved (not only hidden).

    Thanks!

There is a possibility of copying made through windows explorer or equivalent, then it would be useless. Also another possibility is disabled macro when copy is made.

Otherwise, workbook events should do the trick. This procedure should be placed in ThisWorkbook object.
