Macro dosn't work next day

I have many times experienced that my macros stop working once I restart my computer. Since I have had this trouble a number of times I am very careful about saving my work in the VBA-editor.

What basic knowledge am I missing?

I think you haven't given enough information. The macros should rmain if you save the workbook
