I'm trying to create a simple function in vba, which are to be used by others also.

If possible it would be great if the users, when using the function in the excel sheet, could see the the arguments needed ("atp as integer" should appear once the user starts writing arguments). In know this sort of help is available to users for standard excel worksheet functions.

Can I also make this available to my own function?

If you want to add function help in a tooltip then you'll need to use a third party add-in available for free from here and distribute the .dll files with any copies of your add-in (or make it available to anyone who'll be accessing this file) for it to work properly. I don't actually use this, but I seem to remember last time I checked all the instructions were in French ...
