Palindromic problems!

Hey pple! Please help me on the following question. THANK YOU!

Just about all of us are fortunate to have lived in two years that are palindromes. Most people live in at most one. A year is a palindrome if it reads the same backwards as forwards. So 1991 and 2002 are palindromes but 2005 is not.
a) Create a spreadsheet model that gives a list of all the four-digit years that are palindromes, beginning with 1001 and extending on down in ascending order.
b) Create a similar spreadsheet model for all five-digit years that are palidromes, beginning with 10001.

Hello charmaine88,

Thank you for complying with the rules. I can't write the code for you because where I am today I only have access to Macs. MacIntosh computers don't support Scripting Hosts like VBS or WSH. Search for "RegExp" or "regular expressions". This is a powerful scripting object for pattern matching and would make your code fast and simple. Or perhaps one the board members can help out.
