    multiple users

    anyway of 2 poeple to be able to use and write to one Excel file?

    I dont think so because Windows will prompt the second user that the file is already in use. You can open the file a second time but it will be in "Read Only" mode.

    Your best bet is to use MS-Access and then export the contents of a table or query. You can easily pull out the data into Excel by using the "Analyze with MS-Excel" menu option.

    Hello Weidler,

    Actually you can if you activate the share workbook option from the Tools menu. One word of caution though, the contents of the workbook saved may not contain the data everyone puts in. This is because the final output saved reflects the state of the workbook when the last user saved it. This would render the share function useless.

    You should consider using Access instead.
