    Solver problem

    Dear All,

I'm calling Excel solver from VBA. It appears to work fine when I have just one cell reference in "by change". However, it appears to "blow up" when I have more than one variables. It still gives a value for setcell and the "by change" cells but not a sensible choice. It does give the same results as using Solver from Excel itself but it doesn't seem plausible.

Is there a way to either fix this bug or a better optimization algorithm that I can use to achieve the same end in VBA?

Thanks in advance for any help.

    John

    What does that mean?

I mean I get the same results from calling Solver from either VBA or from Excel. But the results are different to what i'm expecting - the calculations are correct but the results from Solver don't seem to match my expectations.
