    Lookup Last Value in List

I need to lookup the last value in a list, how do I perform this search? I don't have any dates so I need for the lookup to recognize that if the last value is a zero, then it needs to select the previous cell.

    Possibly?

    =LOOKUP(2,1/(A1:A12<>0))

Where A1:A12 is the entire range

    adjust as necessary.
Where there is a will there are many ways.

    that didn't seem to work.
    for example: I have

    2
    3
    6
    4
    0
    0

I need a lookup to pull value 4. would an offset function work?

Sorry, I forgot another range argument:

    =LOOKUP(2,1/(A1:A12<>0),A1:A12)

    adjusting ranges to suit.

    =1/LOOKUP(9.9E+307,1/A1:A100)
