    Having trouble accessing PERSONAL.XLS.

I am having trouble with reading my PERSONAL.XLS in C:\Documents and Settings\mike\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART.

I can create a macro saved to the PERSONAL.XLS, but when I exit Excel then go back in, I don't have access to (can't read) the PERSONAL.XLS macros. Before I exit Excel, I can use the freshly saved macros to PERSONAL.XLS.

It happens only on my login on that computer (W2k Professional with Excel version 2002). When I log in as another user, I can use that login's PERSONAL.XLS.

Please help fix my login. mikeburg

the PERSONAL.xls is hidden, so you have to unhide it from he Windows menu
    Hope that helps.

I already tried unhiding it. It only has the Hide option, not the UnHide option like a login that is seeing the PERSONAL.XLS.

    Any other ideas? mikeburg

Can you check if PERSONAL.xls exists & is in the correct directory before closing Excel?

Sorry, just now getting back from out of town emergency.

Yes, I can navigate to the above directory & open the personal.xls & use it's macros without any problem once opened.

However, when I exit the personal.xls, the macros are no longer available.

Any ideas? thanks a million .. mikeburg
