I am a first time user based in the UK. I am hoping that some one can help me.

I have written a Macro that will delete the days from columns of dates (I am using 2000 version of excel);

i.e. Mon 03/04/08 to 03/04/08
Tue 04/04/08 to 04/04/08
Wed 05/04/08 to 05/04/08

However when I run the macro, the date converts from UK format dd/mm/yy (03/04/08) to US format mm/dd/yy (04/03/08).

I have highlighted the column and used the ‘format Cells, Category, Date, Type Locale English (UK)’ to set the date to UK format, but this still does not make any difference.

Is this a known problem with this version of Excel? Is it a problem with the Macro or is it me? 
