Hi friends,
I need to know how to calculate the sum of Cells present in an excel sheet..!!
tht is i have a column which contains Description and another cell contains values
Look s somewat lik this..
|DescripTion1|#####|300|
|Desc2.........|#####|500|
Now after he selects on Description 1 and Desc2 i want him to display the sum of to values present in someother cell He will be selecting on Description only he will not be selecting Anything else..
Please help me..!!

Thank you.! But i guess i quoted the question wrong..!!Iwant the value 300 for the description to be added with 500 thts the values of Desc2 to be the total sum on select of Description1 or Desc2...

The code i gave sums the values of any cells adjacent to the selected cells. If you only select one cell what would determine the other cell(s) to add?
