command button that changes colour of selected cells

Hi,
Is there anyway to be able to program behind a command button so that when a range of cells is selected (just by highlighting them with the cursor) and the button is pushed, the cells change to a given colour (my plan is to set the colour of the button to represent the colour the cells will change to).
