I want to select all empty cells in column A of my spreadsheet. Is there a way to write a macro to select only empty cells?
Thank you

Why don't you use a Filter
Select Col A > Data > Auto Filter > Blanks
Then use a custom view to call the view
VBA Noob

...or alternatively, highlight the whole column, and go to Edit > Go To, Special and select blanks and click OK.
You could record a macro of that yourself - it would give you something in the order of :
HTH![]()

Just took me a while to find Goto cuz I have 2007. Its under Find/Select on Home Tab.
My intent was to select empty cells then delete/ shift left. I may have been doing it wrong, but I was unable to do it with autofilter. But I will certainly find a use for autofilter in the future.Originally Posted by VBA Noob
