Change Variable data on 1 pivot table, make same changes in other pivot tables

Hi Everyone,

How can I make changes to the page data on one pivot table, and have the other two pivot charts update their page data automatically to match?

I grabbed this code from one of our "master documents" that seems to have a similar feature, but I can't understand what is driving the action to duplicate it for my purposes.

This code takes the first chart on sheet x and applies the values to the pivot table on sheet y:
