    4 Standard Deviations

I have a line of code that inserts a formula based upon a changing array of values:

This sets up the cell to calculate the standard deviation, however, I am looking to calculate to _4_ standard devations.

Is there a way for excel to calculate to 4 standard deviations, or am I looking at quite a long and complicated piece of code?

    Cheers for your help

    Nathan

You want to know what fraction of the data is within four standard deviations of the mean, or what deviation from the mean encompasses 99.9936...% of the data?

    4sd

I need to set an outer limit within which results need to fall. This has been set at 4 standard deviations so any figure falling outside of the 4SD is flagged up. Excel seems to be able to set a figure at one SD, but is that it?
