Sumproduct? Countif?

Hello, Using Excel 2007

In A2:A10 I have a person's initials and in columns E2:H10 I have a number from 1 to 100. What I want to do is to check A2:A10 for "M" and then check E2:H10 for the number 8. If both criteria are met then I went to count the number of occurences the 8 showed up in E2:H10.

Attached is a sample sheet.
Need help writing the formula to get a total of "2".

=SUMPRODUCT((A2:A10="M")*(E2:E10=8)+(A2:A10="M")*(F2:F10=8)+(A2:A10="M")*(G2:G10=8)+(A2:A10="M")*(H2:H10=8))
