I am trying to create the following sequence:

If you can envision two columns; one with names (column 1), the other blank (column 2 - to the right of column 1). When and "X" is placed in a blank cell in column 2, I would like to "hilight" with light yellow the appropriate name in column 1 (i.e. the cell directly to the left of the cell with the "X") to show that name is no longer available.

I thought perhaps a macro, but maybe there is a better alternative. Any help would be appreciated.
