search box function

Hi

I have a sheet with names in col "C" from row 5 down. This list is added to from time to time and the sheet is not sorted by name.

I want to build a search box at the top of the sheet which will work like the "ctrl F" or a web search tool but will also find close matches ( say returning the top 10 closest matches).

Hello Shaun,

You can do this manually by using Auto Filter on the selected range. Select the cells starting at "C5" down to the last used cell in the range. On the main menu select Data > Filter... > AutoFilter. When you click the drop down button you will it has a listing for the (Top 10...).
