    new workbook opens original

I finally got a workbook set the way i want it. I have macro for timestamp - 10 minutes then rounded to nearest 5 minute mark, a Datestamp and one to save after each entry. Every month we use a new workbook so in the past I just copy the file and paste 12 new ones in a folder and rename them all for the different months. The problem now is when click the button for the timestamp or datestamp it opens the original workbook. Is there a way to stop this or am i doing it all wrong?

    Hello Barpat96,

You can do one of two things. Either copy the macros into each new workbook when they are created, or place the macro in your Personal.xls workbook which opens up hidden when you start Excel. This way, all workbooks can reference the macros in the Personal.xls file.

To create the Personal.xls file, visit this link...
Deploy your Excel macros from a central file

    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross

Thank You Leith for your response. I will give that a try with the Personal.xls
