Scrolling text in a Cell

Hello, I've got a spreadsheet with a cell for general notes that can written in by the user. The problem is that the cell must be limited in width, so the notes must also be limited, otherwise it spills over to the surrounding cells. Text wrap is no good since the table is fixed in size for length and width and so the cell size can't be altered.

Is there a simple way to add an automatic text scroller that would enable the ability to add more text in a cell (by scrolling from left to right as such)?

I've looked on the internet to no avail. Also I'm very novice with Excel. Any help would be grand.

No, you can't scroll text in a cell. You can used cell comments instead, which only appear on-screen when the cell is selected, and can be as long as you like (but still no scrolling).
