I currently copy data from the internet and paste the information into excel onto my Database tab. Once I paste it into my xls file, I have a Macro that changes this data from words to numbers. (Example: Terrible = 1, Good = 6, etc).
On my next tab (Player_Info_Temp), I have each cell linked to the Database tab. I linked it so it falls into line how I want to see it.
However, players are not the same on each team. So what I want to happen is ... on my next tab (which is called Team), I would like to use a drop down box (or something) that allows me to enter only the player's name in cell B1 & once his name is entered then his skills (listed in a single row on a prior tab) should be auto-entered into cells B2 thru B21.
I think I could use "Find" or something, but I don't really know formulas that well.![]()
Is there something I can do to make this easier? ...Or am I completely insane?
I'll attach the file in ZIP form so you can see what the heck I'm trying to do...
Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Ok, I found something more out.Trial and error baby!
I entered this formula into a cell on my Team tab ::
=IF(C74="","",MATCH(C74,$C$1:$C$67,0))
So, basically it will tell me where the player is in the list. Now I'm going to figure out how to run a macro to get that specific line entered where I want it to enter.
Sorry for the multiple edits, but I'm still trying to figure this out on my own too.
Thanks.
*****UPDATE*****
Ok, so I'm currently looking into the VLOOKUP function. I think that will solve my problem. Sorry again for the edit, but I don't want to reply to my post.
Thanks...
