Ahoy, I'm new to excel and I've searched the forums for this question and haven't found it yet, even though I'm sure that it's there. I apologize if this is a common one.
I have one excel file linked to another which I will call linkee and linked. When I move linked to a new directory and then open linkee, it will ask me to locate the new location of linked. I will show it, but it won't save in the function. (i.e. if C:\files\linked.xls moves to C:\files\Excel\linked.xls the function in linkee will remain as C:\files\linked.xls)
Now it will update the info if I locate linked for it, but I don't want to have to do that every time. I'm trying to make an excel file that anyone in my company could use easily without previous knowledge of the file. Is this possible?
