Exclamation ComboBox on a Toolbar (msoControlComboBox)

    Hello,

I have a ComboBox (msoControlComboBox) on my excel toolbar which I have filled with data.

What I would like to do is everytime a user start typing inside that ComboBox it automatically dropdown the list just like on http://finance.google.com when
u start typing the first letter of a company name and u've got a list of name that appears.

I've attached an excel with my vba code inside.

    Thanks in advance.

    Good afternoon redan

    ...and welcome to the forum!!

Not sure what you actually want here, as the dropdown list already does that. This would be more obvious if you changed the Item 1, 2, 3 and 4 to something else and start typing in the box.

check out the print screen I've attached.

I want to do exactly the same thing ... that way the user do not have to click on the arrow next to the combobox. Instead, u just need to type in and u have a choice of matching item.

    Hi redan

AFAIK there is no way to actually force the box to dropdown, apart from clicking on the arrow, but when you start typing the auto-complete feature does kick in.

Why are you using a Toolbar to do this? A combobox on a UserForm could be used instead.
    Hope that helps.

yes, as soon as I start type in the auto-complete feature does kick in.

I'm using the toolbar cuz it's a lot more easier and friendly for the user.

Also, i want this combobox to always be there and not to click on some button everytime I need the combobox.

I've got another question regarding msoControlComboBox, is is possbile to have many columns and title?

    thanks everyone!
