I have 4 workbooks need to get comments text and merge them in one cell
example
In workbook # 1 - No work is done
In workbook # 2 - R/W is currently being evaluated
So in my master work book I want to merge this and put it one cell. I did this formula and it did not work can any one help please!!!
=CONCATENATE('[Semi-Monthly Status Report CECS.xls]Sheet1'!$AQ$7,'[Semi-Monthly Status Report PAN.xls]Sheet1'!$AQ$7)

Did you try adding the path:
e.g.
=CONCATENATE(C:\'[Semi-Monthly Status Report CECS.xls]Sheet1'!$AQ$7,C:\'[Semi-Monthly Status Report PAN.xls]Sheet1'!$AQ$7)
Where there is a will there are many ways.

I tried both, It didn't work.
How doesn't work?
Do you get an error? If so, which?
