    Splash Screen

    Hi,

I want to make a splash screen which is to display when a workbook is opened.

I can display and "un"display the form, using the .OnTime routine (which has been well documented in other parts of this forum).

But I'm having trouble creating the actual splash form. Can a form be made without a Title Bar? I mean, it's easy to get a Title Bar without a caption, but I don't want a Title Bar at all.

Am I overlooking an obvious property that needs changing?

    Cheers,

    Paul

    Hello Paul,

There are a great number of effects you can achieve with you form. It requires using API calls to do so. You can explode or implode the UserForm, fade it out, etc. I have to leave soon so I don't have time to search for code examples. You can find some good ones on Google. If you haven't used API calls before, you will need some help in how to use and troubleshoot them. Find some code and we will go from there.

    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross

Working with Shapes (drawing menu) might be the best route to what you want.

Thnx, Dan. I'll have a read, but I'm starting to think that the effort might outweigh the ultimate rewards (a "pretty" screen)!

    Cheers,

    Paul
