File size issue

All,

I have a huge file, around 50MB even though i have faster machine it takes a ton of effort in time to open the file. The reason being the one of the column in the tab. Let say the col is G.

What i am trying to find out is there a way to run a Macro to remove that col G without opening the excel work book.

Take a ton of time, open the file, and delete column G.

Or if you were desperate not to open the file, you could import the data using import external data and just exclude column G, but again it would be quicker to open the file then to learn how to do that
