Subscript out of range?

What's wrong with his code? I cant seem to make it work right between 2 workbooks. I tried the code within the same workbook and it works fine.

Hi Roy,

Columnletter is a function i've used over and over again in my code so i'm confident that's not where the error is.

I looked at my code again this morning only to find the error staring me right in the nose.... the line:

ChartBook.Worksheets("Sheet1").Range(recordcolumn & recordrow).Value = SPRBook.Worksheets("SPRs").Range("a" & searchrow).Value

I looked in the chartbook and couldn't find sheet1... i had renamed it "Missing data" on friday. Wow, I feel stupid.
