Automatically change cell data to all uppercase?

How would one specify a group of cells to be only upper case? Currently I'm using validation and it causes an error box to pop up if a lowercase letter is entered, then reverts back to the original input, which runs another script which causes another popup box... very frustrating. How do you automatically convert an "f" entered into a cell to a "F" without any prompt?

    Text Case

    Hi

It would depend upon how much text you are entering, for small amounts you can use a cell for entering data, any case and then using the upper function automatically convert.
