    Simple find macro

I am trying to write a macro to put a '*' character in the 'E' column of each row whose 'A' cell contains 'ADS.' Here is the code I wrote, which seems to do nothing:

Could someone help me get this working? I'm a C++ person with no Basic experience, so I apologize if my code is awful.

    Thanks.

Sorry about that. Although I read the forum rules, I still can't figure out how to edit the title. Any suggestions?

    Edit:

I really appreciate your not deleting my post and changing the title for me. "Noob"s are people too!

    Hi

    1) How / where is the variable r being initialized and incremented.

    2) is this being called from another Macro or is the target argument not being used?

    Hi rylo,

    1) I was under the (apparently incorrect) assumption that the statement "Dim r" declares an integer 'r' that is automatically initialized.

    2) This is a standalone macro.

Thanks rylo! The macro works perfectly. I will study your code so that I don't come back later asking stupid questions.
